The share of economic-geographical investigation in prognosticating the potential of labour force in industrial areas

Miroslav Macka, Petr Chalupa

The authors study the requirements for special labour power and the possibilities of meeting these requirements within the scope of a definite area. They try to foretell future migrations of population in connection with the sphere of action of industrial plants demanding workers of special professinons. On the example of the Engineering Works in Adamov and Blansko (north of Brno) which are part of the Brno industrial agglomeration, they show the complexity of the migration problems and present propositions for their solution.
