Prognosing of distribution of tourisme by means of Monte Carlo simulation method

Jadwiga Warszyńska

Uniwersytet Jagielloński, Instytut geografii, Kraków

The paper describes the experiment carried out by means of the simulation method called Monte Carlo in order to estimate the volume and pattern of weekend recreation by which individual cars are used. The author studied for this purpose the weekend traffic on the route between Krakow and Zakopane (the High Tatras). Her studies confirmed all theoretical hypotheses of this method. The paper is a short abstract from a lecture delivered at the Czech-Polish seminary held in 1979 In Malá Morávka, Czechoslovakia.
