New Conception of Geographic Preparation of the First Grade Pupils at Elementary Schools
A new project of further development of the Czechoslovak educational system at elementary schools has come into operation since the school-year 1976/77. The 8 years' elementary school is divided into the 1st grade (1-4 form) and the 2nd grade (5-8 form). The author draws the attention to the fact that already in the first grade of the educational system "geography" helps to acquire the basic geographical knowledge.
