Atmospheric Tides

Rudolf Brázdil

In this contribution the author deals in the gravitational interaction of the bodies in the frame of the solar system and its consequencies, i. e. tides and ebbs. These manifest themselves not only in the hydrosphere but also in the lithosphere and atmosphere. Here, however, they are least apprehensive and examinatorial. As the Czech geographical literature lacks the works of this problematics, the aim of the contribution is to briefly summarize the up-to-the present findings and thus give help to broaden up the material lectured to the university listeners. The particular essays are devoted to the flooding dynamics of physio-geographical sphere, tiding balance of atmospheric pressure (solar and lunar), tiding wind, variations in ionosphere and common theories of atmospheric floods.
