The Weathering Processes in Geography
The weathering processes, fossil as well as recent, are of vital importance for the origin of the forms of earth's surface. Physical weathering is mentioned shortly in this paper, chemical and biochemical weathering is discussed more in detail. Hydrolysis, oxidation, carbonatisation and hydratation are characterised in forms of chemical properties of various elements and compounds. Other important items discussed here are biogene, water and air migration of chemical compounds and examples of various types of weathering (laterization, kaolinisation).
