The choice of an area zonation method based on the territorial share of industrial society heritage: The post-industrial cultural landscape Kamenicko as a case study
The data from a field survey on the areas and sites of the industrial period heritage was put through GIS processing to identify the areas (zones) with a predefined share of heritage as special types of the present landscape. Experiments with available interpolation methods (binary with focal statistics, IDW, kernel regression and combinations of these) were applied to varying quadrate raster sizes and point clouds led to valuable results. A statistical comparison was used for the best output selection represented by the focal statistics of a 15×15 pixel moving window on binary map data with the 30 m ground pixel size. The identified cores of the post-industrial landscape were given with appropriate development proposals.
