An enormous thematic, geometric and format geodata variability as well as its storage in different distant databases are typical for the situation in Czechia. If these data layers are overlaid, many false parameter combinations originate. The digital landscape model (DLM) is an example of a new database tool reducing such data errors for an efficient application in research and territory management. The DLM structure and construction are presented.
