Development of surface water quality in the Cidlina River catchment area
The article evaluates the development and the present state of surface water quality in the Cidlina River catchment area. Besides the water quality, the article analyses individual economic activities, which significantly affect the water quality. The attention is paid not only to the water chemism, but also to the biological evaluation of the water quality. An analysis of water pollution causes is done and propositions how to improve the present state of water quality in the catchment are presented.
