Automation in Map Compilation on Commuting
The paper describes the co-operation of a geographer and a mathematician in the computer assisted making of thematic maps. The map shows the commuting to work in Czechoslovakia in scale of 1:750000. A mathematical description of all individual processes which are part of the compilation of the map is necessary.
