Theoretical Geography

The author gives a brief summary of the development of theoretical geography as a science on the boundary between geography and science of science. Geography is still mostly an idiographic science, but theoretical geography is pure nomothetic science dealing with the laws governing the geography as a science. The importance of "quantitative revolution" for the development of the geography is discussed. The author underlines the importance of development of theoretical geography for further development of geography.
