The 60th Birthday Anniversary of Academician Emil Mazúr
The outstanding Slovak geographer, Academician of both Czechoslovak and Slovak Academies of Sciences, Emil Mazúr celebrated his 60th birthday on February 9, 1985. He is Director of the Geographical Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Professor at the Komenský University, Bratislava, member of the Presidium of both Academies of Sciences, President of the National Geographical Committee, and works in many other scientific organisations. His main interest is devoted to geomorphology and the modern integrated research of the landscape.
