Remote sensing of the Earth from satellites

Richard Čapek

The author gives an outline of the most important satellites providing photographs and other imageries of the Earth for scientific purposes. He deals with spacecrafts, orbital laboratories, meteorological satellites and unmanned satellites destined for remote sensing of the Earth resources. Launch year, orbital altitude, orbit inclination and period are given in tables. Informations about cameras, scanning devices and different types of imageries resp. order possibilities are mentioned, too.
