The 7th Congress of the Geographical Society of the USSR in Frunze 1980
The author took part on the 7th Congress of the Geogr. Sooiety of the USSR in Frunze (Kirghizia), Sept. 22-27, 1980. He reports on the structure (34 238 members), on scientific, expeditional, popularizing and publishing activities of this Society, on the course of transactions and on very interesting congress excursions to several areas of Kirghizia and to the Soviet republics of Central Asia. The 7th Congress was aimed at complex problems of present-day geography, the next one will be tend to the relationships between the Nature and the human activities of the point of view of the space.
