Prediction of potential changes in the hydric regime in the Moravskoslezské Beskydy

Vladislav Kříž

The author studied the influence of the economic activity of man upon the cbanges in the hydric regime in the drainage areas of two smaller streams in the Moravskoslezské Beskydy and in the Javorníky Mountains (West Carpathians, Czechoslovakia). He discovered a dependence of the regime (especially the variability of water volumes) upon the extent of timber falling and upon the scope of pollution of forests by exhalations. He predicts likely changes under such conditions.
