Valley development and Quaternary tectonics in the Hlučínská pahorkatina (hilly land)

Tadeáš Czudek

The author describes delis, dry valleys, river valleys, cryopediments as well as valley asymmetry in the area consisting of Pleistocene deposits. Special attention is devoted to the role of Quaternary tectonics in valley development. Hlučínská pahorkatina (hilly land) is situated in the region near the Czechoslovak-Polish frontier (North-West from Ostrava, North Moravia, Czechoslovakia).
