Geomorphological and Geological Features of the Philippine Sea
The author had the opportunity to take part at the expedition "OPHIOLITES 1976" to the region of the Philippine Sea lead by the Soviet ship "Dmitrij Mendelejev". In his article he describes the morphology and topography of the sea bottom, the geological development of the bottom and of several remnant submerged arches of islands, and the structure and composition of rocks dredged from the bottom.
