Professor Miloš Nosek dead
By the death of Professor Miloš Nosek on 18 December 1978 at the age of 56, the Czechoslovak Geography has lost one of its outstanding climatologists. A scientist of great distinction, he held the Chair of Geography, Faculty of Natural Sciences at J. E. Purkyně's University in the city of Brno. He was also a Honorary Member of the Czechoslovak Geographical Society, serving as its President from 1972 to 1975.
