Miroslav Střída, Jana Runštuková

The bibliographical review presents a wide selection of original and derived articles, books, maps and other geographical a regional works concerning the Czechoslovak territory published in the last year. The annual review is completed by some general, theoretical and methodical studies by Czech and Slovak authors only. The bibliography of Czechoslovak geography has been developed in the Central Geographical Library of Charles University under cooperation of Czechoslovak and Slovak Academy of Sciences, Central Archives of Geodesy and Cartography and assistence of Bibliographical Department of Czechoslovak National Library. The selection of general studies contains the system of GENERAL GEOGRAPHY. The regional system of CZECHOSLOVAKIA is divided into four sections and seven parts. The works covering the whole national, Czech or Slovak territory and not corresponding to any special part are arranged as Generalities (including the studies of Central Europe e. t. c.). The section of Physical Geography is divided into the part of Geomorphology (major works of karts investigation including), and the part of Climatology, Hydrology, Biogeography, Pedology. The section of Human Geography distinguishes the part of Population, Settlements with demography and urban geography, and the part of Economics which covers the manufacturing, agricultural and other economic geography. The publications of complex regional or local character get into the section of Regional Works divided in the part Landscape, Regionalization including the regional problems of enviroment, and the part Guide-books and Maps. This present annual review becomes a foundamental source of the yearbook BIBLIOGRAPHIE GÉOGRAPHIQUE INTERNATIONALE published in Paris under the auspices of International Geographical Union.
