The article examines political ideologies in the local politics of Czechia. The aim is to explore whether political parties reflect their ideological foundations in local politics. Using data from the “Electoral Calculator” for municipal elections in 2022, the ideological positions of the 10 most prominent political entities at the national level in the 33 most populous cities in Czechia were evaluated on the economic left–right dimension and the socio-cultural GAL-TAN dimension. The article explores the internal heterogeneity of each subject and attempts to explain the spatial differentiation of the ideological positions of all parties on aggregate and individual political subjects as well. The factors validated primarily include external effects, especially the socio-economic indicators of the examined cities. Two-sample t-tests and correlation analyses were conducted. Although a significant influence could have been found in most examined factors, individual political parties reacted to them through their positions to various degrees, in different ways, or not at all.
