Over the period 1990 - 1996 geographical subjects have undergone a substantial revival at the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague. Four geography departments have been established or reestablished. An increased number of students responded to increasing interest in geographical studies. Curriculum has been substantially changed as was the range and quality of lectures. Research activities have been extended due to the transfer of the former Institute of Geography ex-members to the Faculty of Science.
